Bush Camping
Warren Gorge
Warren Gorge caters for those who wish to camp in the bush away from the township. This
quiet peaceful setting has some drop pit toilets and rubbish bins installed by the local
council. Open fires are allowed from mid April to mid October but you will need to bring
wood. It is not permissible to cut down trees or timber on the reserve. Heavy fines apply
to those doing so. This area is extremely popular during school holidays and it is not
uncommon to find 50 or more campsites set up. At times in the past there have been motor
bike rallies to Warren Gorge and as many as 1,500 people have camped here overnight.
This area is in the process of being upgraded and will become
one of the best outdoor camping places in the Flinders Ranges within the next
two years.
