Old School Camp

Situated at the corner of Sixth and Second Streets in Quorn this building and camping area is run by the Quorn Area School and caters for many school camps during each year. The camp ground is part of the old Quorn primary school.

The Quorn Kindergarten uses the other end of the building so this lovely old stone building is presently being put to good use.

The Dutchman Stern Park

Situated at the foot of the Dutchman Stern Range this popular site is usually booked out a long way ahead. It consists of an old homestead and shearers type quarters kept in good condition by the National Parks who now own the Dutchman property.

Woolshed Flat Quarters

This is owned by the Pichi Richi Railway Society and is situated at Woolshed Flat alongside of the Quorn to Port Augusta road as one travels through the Pichi Richi Pass. Woolshed Flat is approximately half way between Quorn and Port Augusta and next to the Heysen Trail where it comes down from Mount Brown and then proceeds on to Saltia to climb back up into the mountains. It is an excellent place to stay as there are many walking trails from here including one along the beautiful Waukarie Creek up to the springs where water was once taken from to supply Port Augusta and then on to the end of Richman Valley and the water falls.

Tourist Parks

Although outside the Flinders Ranges Council area mention is being made of two very popular tourist parks near Wilpena Pound.

Rawnsley Park Station - Tourist Park: Situated on the Southern side of the Pound Range this is a very popular place to stay when in the Flinders Ranges.

Wilpena Pound Resort - Tourist Park: Situated on the Northern side of the Pound Range at the entrance to the pound itself this one has been known far and wide for over 50 years.
