Comstock Cemetery

Situated not far from the entrance to Willis Gorge there were a number of burials here. The only remaining discernible grave here today is that of an Eckert. The Eckert's settled in Arden Vale about 6 kilometers from here and their descendants are still living on the original property today. The Comstock area was mined many years ago for a flux material used in the making of steel. Also small amounts of gold were present and many shafts and tunnels still remain today. Not far away on the opposite side of the Wyacca road there was also a copper mine.
