Exciting Quorn Walks.

There are a number of walks around Quorn and brochures for these can be obtained from the Flinders Ranges Visitor Information centre in Seventh Street, Quorn. The brochures have been prepared by concerned locals who would like you the traveller to enjoy some of the local scenery, native flora and history.

Quorn History Walk

Some very valuable information on Quorn's past is included and a leisurely hour or two strolling the streets of Quorn will be well rewarded. This brochure contains a map with the important places and points of interest marked.

Pichi Richi Railway workshop Tour

This can be arranged and booked through the Flinders Ranges Visitor Information Centre. This tour is a guided one and takes the visitor through the Pichi Richi Railway workshops where you will see the machinery being used and work that is being carried out during the restoration of many old steam engines and carriages.

Quorn Native Flora Park

This is about one kilometre out of North Quorn on the western side just up on the small hill. There is a parking bay for cars at the entrance and the number of species some of which are endangered is considerable. A walking trail has been made through the area and it takes the traveller to the points of most interest. An information brochure is available at the entrance gate and it has details of about 50 marked species of native flora scattered about in the park. Much of this trail is suitable for a wheel chair. This park can look magnificent during August and September when all the wild flowers and many of the shrubs and trees are in bloom.
