Contact: Rosie Wright Quorn & District HospitalBuilt from money raised locally, opened in 1950 and then extended in 1982 and again in 2002 this 20 bed facility is one any town could be proud of. Fortunately we have been able to keep it in times when so many towns are losing their hospital. Contains a modern operating theatre which is used by our very skilled doctor. Births per head of population in a number of later years at this hospital have been the second highest in the state. Built on a slight rise and at an angle to the rest of the town it looks out over well kept gardens, the school oval and part of town. The Kanyaka Medical Centre is situated in a reasonably new building alongside. This is where the local doctor runs his surgery and consults. Also many visiting specialists consult here on a monthly basis. Quorn & District Hospital

The original home here is where a number of aboriginal children were brought up by Sister Rutter and Sister Hyde after moving in here in May 1933.
